ORIGINS

Big Water Collective (BWC) began in 2016 with a simple belief: music has the power to bring people together when the world seems determined to pull them apart. Founded by Scott McClain and Tyson Motsenbocker in the wake of racial conflict in Baton Rouge, Louisiana, Big Water grew from a desire to create something rooted in community, honesty, collaboration, and hope.

Big Water became a gathering place where artists could create freely, learn from one another, and build meaningful relationships beyond the traditional boundaries of the music industry. What began as an idea has organically evolved with every artist, song, conversation, and shared experience along the way. Watch the video below to learn more about how the vision came to life and the earliest moments of the BWC.
